I am not a fan of pork.
Pork chops are probably my least favorite meal.

But this pork….. this pork is heavenly.
So moist .
So tasty (even when it’s a bit burnt….. which in all honesty makes it even better in my opinion.)

Chris loves it. I love it. The kids love it (well except for our baby girl who seems to be turning into a vegetarian as of late. The child refuses to eat meat. What’s up with that?! It’s just a stage….right?!)

Anyways, back to the pork.

I have banana bread issues.
Really.
I can not for the life of me
bake banana bread to perfection.

With a new year comes somewhat of a new beginning.
A fresh start.
When I think about what I want most in this next year,
I can easily identify one thing.

To be present.

And so, my 2010 is going to be about simplicity.

It’s going to be about prioritizing my time. About not comparing myself to everyone else.

About taking a few steps back from all the crazy and embracing the moments.

Today is my Dad’s birthday.
And not just any ol’ birthday.
It’s a big one.
A milestone.
A reason to celebrate.
Today my Dad turned
60!
