I thought it was time to shake things up around here and try out a new recipe.

So, this morning the girls and I used our brand new KitchenAid Mixer {squeal!} (an unexpected and extremely extravagant gift from friends that completely took me by surprise and actually made me cry) and we whipped up a batch of Hot Chocolate Cookies. Yes, that’s right, there’s actually hot chocolate powder in these babies.

Yesterday the girls and I made these amazing pumpkin cookies. They just might possibly be my new favorite cookie. Yup. Pumpkin. My favorite….. shocking since there isn’t a trace of chocolate in them!

Mars bars were one of my favorite chocolate bars growing up. When I was little, I played Ringette and after every game my Dad would stop at 7-eleven and treat me to a drink and a chocolate bar. Most days I would choose an iced tea and the chocolate bar was always either Mars Bars or Areo.
