….something that is ‘quilt-y’
Behold.
My first attempt at quilting 🙂
As soon as I saw this mini I spy quilt I knew I had found my first project. It’s just such a fun idea, and I knew my girls would love it!
It’s definitely not perfect, but I enjoyed making it and it was SUPER easy!
Although, I did have some issues with the binding. Actually just one very big issue.
It’s my corners.
They suck.
Really and truly.
I’m at a loss as to how you get pretty corners, so if anyone has any suggestions I’m all ears.
I took Marie’s suggestion and used a fun animal print on the back too so the girls and I can have more ‘I spy’ fun with all the different animals.
I think she might like it 🙂

I love Jesus, my guy Chris + our four. We seek joy. Homeschool. Adventure together. Mess up and start again.
It looks great, it's a perfect first time project. And I'll have to do a little blog tutorial on corners, I've had a few people ask me about them. Thanks for linking!
i want to learn how to make one! come to my house and teach me :-0
What a great quilt! And I think the I spy is a fabulous idea!
Hoorah! Good for you! I'm so impressed. Be careful – quilting gets addictive 🙂
I love the idea of the eye spy. Another friend suggested this idea to me awhile back, but after seeing it in person – I'm hooked! Definitely one for the queue 🙂
They are so cute! You're quite a crafty lady aren't you?!?
too cute!! you did such a nice job 🙂 I love your little girl's face — precious.
