Every night just before we eat, we sit around as a family and pull out our little Prayer Pail. And every night my heart just melts at the sweetness of their words.
Tonight, our 2 yr old picked out the stick marked with “Thanks God.”
We asked her what she wanted to thank God for and she answered with confidence: “Gama ‘n Papa”.
So she bowed her head, closed her eyes and began:
” Dear Jesus……a bunch of words we couldn’t understand…….Gama n’ Papa………more muffled words……..amen”
Then, clear as day our little 15 month old blurts out a loud “AMEN!”
I’m not kidding. Clear as a bell.
Chris and I look up at each other and start laughing. We look at our little one and she is all smiles, proud as punch!

I love to hear my kids pray and especially when they seem to "get it". Although most days it is a struggle to get all three to come together and sit quietly long enough for prayer. That's why I love this idea and am going to figure out a way we can use it! Thanks for posting it!
