This afternoon I took our 5 year old son to his allergy appointment.
On the agenda: the much anticipated milk challenge.

We spent just under 3 hours in the doctor’s office and are now very pleased to report that our big boy is NO LONGER ALLERGIC TO MILK!
Can you hear me shouting from the rooftops!?
WooHoo!
Yippeeeeeeee!
Yahoo!
Hallelujah!

I am soooooo happy for our little guy.

The very first thing we did as soon as we left the office was stop at the nearest store and pick up one of these bad boys:

That’s right folks.

For the very first time in his life, our little guy was actually allowed to taste chocolate!
His sweet verdict:

“Oh, mommy this is just soooooo yummy!”

I am beyond excited that our big boy can now have cheese on hamburgers. And enjoy yogurt. And butter on his toast. And ice cream. And chocolate. And all things dairy!
🙂

Lalalalala…I am just giddy at the possibilities!
Next week my menu will surely reflect this wonderful news. Cheesy meals- here we come!

P.S What are some of your favorite meals that include dairy? Oh gosh, that’s so weird to write. After 5 years of being on the lookout for non-dairy meals, I am still getting used to the idea that I can actually make a meal that has dairy ingredients, and not have to do any special substitution for my little guy!
