The bridal shower I hosted for my very dear friend has come and gone and although I had grand plans for my baking, in the end I didn’t end up making a single one of them.
I tend to do that a lot. Yes, I tend to make plans and rarely stick to them. I thought perhaps, that by posting them on here I might be more inclined to follow through but, alas, once again I failed to live up to my grandiose plans.
My excuse? Well, I don’t really have a valid one.
Just laziness.
I just got plain lazy and didn’t want to make a special trip to buy the ingredients that these desserts called for, so I ended up making a few treats with whatever ingredients I had in the pantry. So I’ll have to save those fancy desserts for another day.

Here’s what I decided to make instead…
Chocolate Chip cookies.
Double Chocolate Chip Cookies.
Peanut Butter Bars.
( these are so yummy, but I never get to make them because of our big boy allergy. I’ll post this recipe later this week….that is if the laziness bug doesn’t bite again!)
And these yummy cupcakes

The fudge looks delicious. Now that I’ve found a brand of chocolate chips I can eat (having a nut allergy makes that challenging sometimes — you can understand!) I might just have to try this 🙂

I do this all the time – many an idea stranded out in “would love to have done that, just never got around to it” land.
The treats still look wonderfully tasty! I’m sure they were a complete hit. And those cupcakes -I just think they are beautiful!
