Chris and I have been married for seven years. In that time we have definitely gone through our share of ups and downs. When things haven’t gone completely as planned the one constant that always gets us through, is our Faith.
In the beginning of our relationship, even before we were married, we would pray every day together. We would always reference the scripture that refers to a three stranded cord. God, Chris and I. Together nothing could come against us!
I can even remember Chris getting up early to come to my house in the morning, so that we could pray together before we started our days. This commitment to each other and God lasted for probably a year into our marriage, and then life just kind of took over. I can’t even really pinpoint when, or even why we stopped, but needless to say we haven’t prayed together for a long time.
We have also continued to pray together every night since then. This change in our relationship is incredible. I feel closer and more in love with Chris each day. There is something so precious about us coming together before God and pouring out our hearts each night. I am in great anticipation for where our relationship, family and ministry will go in this next year. I know that with God in the center we don’t have to worry about anything. I can already see the fruit of this truth!
Thank-you Jesus for bringing us back to this place!
